Summer holiday

Hopefully we’re off on our summer holiday in a week or two, in search of rain and a bit of a chill in the air! I’m sat here typing this with all the windows open and a couple of fans pointed at me and I’m still sweating (or should I say ‘glowing’) and it’s gone 10 at night……………….bit of a break there, and since that we booked our flights and now we are in England where the weather is suitably mild!
We booked the flights on Saturday morning, packed Saturday afternoon and drove to the airport at 11pm to be there for a flight at 6am to Frankfurt and then a connection to Manchester. In the space of 24 hours, I think we got about 2 hours sleep each (junior fared a little better!) and look rather like a couple of zombies. None of which deterred us from visiting Waitrose straight from the airport and then dropping into Costa Coffee in Alderley Edge for a perfect soya latte Taking it easy tomorrow and then planning our itinerary to cram in as much as we can – visiting and food wise!
