Unseasonably warm
Greece certainly seems to have been enjoying better weather than most other places around the world this December. I don’t think I’ve ever spent a Christmas in such a mild climate. On Christmas Eve we had a stroll through town where the sun was shining brightly.

It wasn’t so bright on Christmas Day but that didn’t stop us from having our traditional visit to a beach. We went to Agnondas because Junior wanted to walk along the jetty!

The water was so clear you could see Junior’s bubbles as she blew them across the sea.

I’m afraid the next picture isn’t very clear but that’s because I was just so amazed to see a large group of fish all jumping through the water together that I was a bit late with the camera, but you get the idea I hope.

Boxing Day was another bright day and gave Junior a chance to ride her Christmas bike through town (note the lack of coat due to warmth – sorry to rub it in to all you shivering in snow and ice).

It’s supposed to be getting a bit cooler tomorrow and we’re off to Volos in the morning on the Flying Cat. Let’s hope it doesn’t break down this time.

Hi Sean and family … sorry we missed getting together after meeting briefly in Glossa. I hope you will support a library in Skopelos Town, especially since the Glossa one will soon be fully functional. With any luck you’ll soon be able to go online and check out the collection and reserve a book. In time I hope to talk the local bus drivers into carrying them back and forth from Glossa to Skopelos. All in the future, but well worth it in the long run, especially for those of us spoiled by good public library systems. There is a group to meet to promote a Skopelos Library … let me know and I’ll connect you. All the best for the New Year … Thea Montandon
Happy New Year Thea. Sean said he had met you and mentioned the library you hoped to get started in Skopelos. Hope it all works out in the end – nothing ever happens quickly on Skopelos as I’m sure you know
