Hi Sally, thanks for your comments. I'll have to wait until Saturday to see how many children turn up but as I've not planned for any particular number it should be okay!
Sean knows Malou at Thalpos and has the word out amongst everyone that we would like to find a house with a garden to rent, so hopefully.....
Hope you carry on enjoying the blog.

Hi,

We lived in Skopelos for 6 months three years ago and our children went to the local school - when my daughter had her birthday party, half the invited children didn't come - but the ones that did make it brought their siblings so actually numbers were pretty much as planned and all went well.I think that skopeliti parents born on the island are a little wary of entrusting their children to "foreigners" - even though my husband is from Athens. About the veggies - I know what you mean - terrible unless the boat has just come in - there is someone who grows them and sells direct from their garden down the road past the pink house on the intersection - but might be too late in the season now. We ended up growing our own with mixed success. Good luck with your hunt for a house with some land to rent- if we hear of anything I'll let you know. Try asking Malou who works at Thalpos - she might know of something as she is very well connected.I adore your blog and read it every week or so.Well done! Best wishes, Sally
