Too hot for a curry?………..Never
As previously stated we went out for a curry on Friday night at a friend’s house and I provided the bhajis pictured below but not the chappatis as I didn’t have any strong brown flour.

It was a good job I didn’t provide any chappatis because there was enough food to fill me up anyway and I don’t think I could have managed anything else. We even got leftovers to take home which provided Saturday’s dinner – result! Although meat was provided for the dirty meat eaters I was quite content with my bhajis, rice, curried potatoes and spiced cabbage and peas. Delicious. Junior of course did not partake but she did get a Triceratops to take home! I mean a toy one of course, Skopelos is not some Jurassic throwback where dinosaurs still roam free – having said that there are some sights!! So Sean and I got a great meal and junior got a dinosaur. Win, win situation.
I am currently fully loaded with soya beans thanks to my sister bringing supplies whilst on her holiday and Natalie (kind reader of the blog) doing the same. So next I’m after gram flour. Any takers?
After my mammoth bhaji making marathon I felt kind of enthused re cooking (as well as really, really sweaty) so for dinner this evening we’ve have tahini spaghetti. We’ve had it before but it is so packed full of protein and B vitamins that it’s worth making again and again. I don’t want to make it sound all virtuous because usually virtuous foods tastes like rabbit droppings and this really doesn’t – honestly. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to cooking in this heat though, it’s been 99 degrees today and I can’t wait for it to get cooler!
