Getting better

I have at least been making a bit more of an effort – scones, brownies, lentil spread, onion bhajis and if I can remember the recipe I’m going to make some burgers for dinner. Junior of course has been on her usual diet of fruit, fruit, more fruit, pasta and carrots! She has re-introduced sweetcorn though so I guess that’s some sort of progress. Trying to convince her that lentils should be her next step isn’t easy to say the least. I keep telling her they’re full of protein and how she used to love them in soup and dahl when she was younger but I’m sure she thinks I’m making it all up even though I have the photographic evidence. Baked beans – another protein packer – have been given the seal of approval but only in small quantities. It’s very trying having such a pig headed, fussy child. Although she doesn’t seem to get fed up of eating the same thing, I sure do get fed up of preparing the same meals again and again and again!!
We’re off out for a curry on Friday – no we haven’t found a hidden curry house in the backstreets of Skopelos – we’re going round to a friends house. If they let me I’ll take a pic. Sean has said we’ll provide the bhajis and chapattis – by which he means me of course. I’ve just checked the gram flour which should be enough for this batch of bhajis but then I’ll have to find a new supply and I’m guessing, after a preliminary look, I’m not going to find it on Skopelos.
