Happy Easter to you all

but not to us yet because the Easter Bunny isn’t visiting us until the end of next month so we haven’t been gorging on chocolate (well no more than usual anyway).
Not much got done last week with junior being off school for 3 days, well not much work anyway though she did lots of playing and by default so did I! She’s just set off for school now for a celebration (another) in remembrance of Independence Day (tomorrow – another day off)…………….brief pause there because we’ve all been to the school for the celebration and now school has finished again at 10.15am! Another hard day for junior. All the children sat round and had to stand up and recite bits of things they’d learnt. Junior was supposed to get up with two others but even though she got up the others refused to budge, even a gentle prodding from junior failed to move them.
So junior is adapting to greek life, the cats are adapting; Susie is out all hours wandering the neighbourhood and Ben is drinking extra virgin olive oil and Sean is out saving money by filling our water bottles from the spring as you can see below.

He was soon followed by some locals in need of refreshment

Already starting to notice an influx of holidaymakers or grockles as we like to call them and the boats are becoming more frequent as well. Have tried explaining to junior that in the summer she won’t be able to wander along the paralia jumping from one stone to the next because there will be people sat everywhere eating and drinking. I quite like it as it is at the moment, fairly quiet, not many places open and not much to do!
