Turned out nice again

Well after the snow – the sun. Although the natives are still dressed in puffa jackets and scarves, we are now donning t-shirts and sandals. This caused concern at junior’s school when she took off her cardigan to reveal a t-shirt underneath. You’d have thought we’d sent her to school in her underwear for the reaction we got. Fortunately an english speaking parent explained that junior would be fine as we came from the North of England and this therefore was just like our summer (except slightly warmer).
In the past couple of days we’ve been to a couple of beaches, Agnondas and Elios, so that junior could get her fix of pebble throwing. We think she was either a beachcomber or a merchant seaman in a previous life (or possibly a pirate). Today, at Elios, junior and Sean scratched a message to her Aunty Clare in the sand whilst I sat in the car and listened to The Archers on my ipod. The height of luxury I think – listening to Ambridge farming life whilst watching the sun shining on the water!

On a Saturday in England we would visit Costa Coffee and marvel at the delights of Alderley Edge as it wandered past the window but we have to admit that although the coffee is certainly better there, the view from the cafe we visited here on Saturday has to be better than the A34 any day.

And whilst we drank coffee and tried to stop ourselves falling asleep, junior ran off to find the nearest pebbles (I wouldn’t want to imply that she has an addiction or anything) and we were happy to let her run off to play on her own. That has to be one of the main reasons we moved here, the safety. Along with the weather, the laid back feel, the beaches…….I could go on but I don’t want to make people turn too green. Anyway, one last pic of our tree hugger enjoying the weather and the freedom.
